Book Event: Jane Goldberg
Friday, Dec 5 at 6:30 PM for mingling and refreshments; talk begins at 7 PM.
The CMPS Alumni Association welcomes Jane G. Goldberg, PhD, who will discuss her new book,
WIRED FOR WHY; How We Think, Feel, and Make Meaning
Dr. Goldberg will discuss the book within the context of the brain/psyche/mind constellation, recent neurological discoveries pertinent to psychoanalytic theory and practice, and a frank but critical assessment of current educational practices. As a psychoanalyst, neuroscientist, writer, and (as described by one reviewer) “cultural provocateur,” Goldberg provides us with a work that is part memoir, part science, part philosophy, and part cosmic speculation.
Location: Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, 16 West 10th Street
This event is free and open to the public.
