    SECURING THE FUTURE OF THE

    CENTER FOR MODERN PSYCHOANALYSIS

CMPS was founded in 1971 by the visionary leadership of its twenty-two founders: Evelyn Abrams, Dorothy Bloch, Selwyn Brody, Ethel L. Goldwater Clevans, Mark E. Clevans, Irene Kesten, Jacob Kesten, William Kirman, Evelyn J. Liegner, Leonard Liegner, Shirley B. Love, Sidney I. Love, Benjamin D. Margolis, Deborah Margolis, Cyril Z. Meadow, Phyllis W. Meadow, Benjamin Nelson, Marie Colman Nelson, Joan Ormont, Louis Ormont, Leslie Rosenthal and Harold Stern.  Because of the generosity and leadership of our Founders, the Center developed into a leading psychoanalytic training institute, establishing the first program of study in modern psychoanalysis.

When you leave a legacy to CMPS through a planned gift, you join the Founders in establishing an enduring connection and meaningful statement about your feelings for the Center.  By making a planned gift, you, like our twenty-two founders, will be linked to CMPS in perpetuity.

Charitable giving reflects much more than the desire for tax benefits. But you can maximize income and tax benefits for yourself and your loved ones while supporting the causes you care about. Planned giving options are available at all levels of giving. To find out how you can create a legacy gift that is consistent with your estate plans, fulfills your philanthropic vision, and is tailored to your needs, please contact us.

We would like to recognize your commitment to CMPS and welcome you to our planned giving recognition society, the Founders Legacy Society. As the Founders were passionate driving forces behind the creation of CMPS, the Society’s name

reflects the forward-looking nature of CMPS and the spirit of our advocates. The Founders Legacy Society is being established to honor our loyal donors who want their voices to continue advocating for a strong psychoanalytic future to benefit future generations.

Please review the options below about the different ways to make a planned gift to CMPS.  To discuss these options, please contact Amy Althoff at aalthoff@cmps.edu or 917-747-0078.
