Psychoanalysis and Identity Formation in Fashion (Online Course)

This course will explore identity formation in fashion and style expression in the context of relationship to early caregivers, focusing on reaction formations, the development of the superego, the mirror stage, and the skin ego. We will explore how these issues play out in treatment and in clinical supervision.
Golzar Selbe Naghshineh, MA, LP, CGP, is a training and supervising psychoanalyst and a certified group psychotherapist. She has special expertise in reproductive and maternal mental health. She is a graduate of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and the Center for Group Studies. She is a doctoral candidate at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis.
