Modern Psychoanalysis

evolving perspectives in modern psychoanalysis

Lectures from the CMPS Film Archives 1978-79

Beginning in the fall of 1978, Dr. Hyman Spotnitz, the founder of modern psychoanalysis, conducted a series of monthly lectures to address the growing interest in — and growing audience for — his approach to treating patients.

Dr. Spotnitz was an inimitable speaker and teacher, and these seminal lectures showcase his wide-ranging knowledge, unique wit, legendary intuition, and dynamic therapeutic approach. Most lectures are followed by a spirited question and answer period.
